The Ministry of Forests and Range is the main agency responsible for protecting the public interest in the use of the province's forest and range lands.  Approximately 95 percent of British Columbia's forest and range lands are publicly owned and managed by the provincial government on behalf of the public.  Working with all stakeholders the Ministry pursues policies that encourage investment in the forest sector, while ensuring that forest practices are sustainable to ensure future generations can enjoy the benefits of B.C.'s public forests. 

As of June 2009, the Integrated Land Management Bureau (ILMB) is accountable to the Minister of Forests and Range.  The Integrated Land Management Bureau provides an array of services to the public and to other government agencies involved in using and managing Crown land and natural resources. 

The Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) of Corporate Services, in the capacity of Executive Financial Officer (EFO), is accountable for the financial integrity of the Ministry and ILMB, ensuring effective financial policies, standards, reporting systems and controls are in place.  The position also provides leadership and direction in the provision of financial, business planning, human resources, information management, risk management and administrative services, ensuring that these services are provided in the most effective and efficient manner. The ADM, Corporate Services, serving these two client organizations, reports to the Deputy Minister and is a member of the Ministry's and ILMB's Executive.   

You must possess experience at an executive level providing leadership to a range of corporate service with a proven record of achieving results.  Experience in financial planning, systems and reporting, leading the development and implementation of strategies to support business development, and leading program and system change are all essential.  A proven record of establishing goals, developing people and teams, building relationships at all levels and across constituencies, solving problems and providing innovative solutions, promoting accountability, and negotiation and influence management must also exist.
